Why is it sometimes so difficult to reach your goals?
Bruce Lipton states that the reason why we cannot achieve our goals are our limiting beliefs. In spite of teachings of many gurus we follow we still end up at the same lives we have. The reason is that you maybe have gone through the changes in your conscious mind, but you still live under the control of your subconscious mind. Just because we put something in our conscious mind it doesn't change our subconscious belief system. T. Harv Eker states that you can have all the knowledge and skills in the world, but if your "Money Blueprint" isn't set for success, you're financially doomed. Jamie Mc Intire claims that the right mindset represents 80% of success.

 We all have a personal Money Blueprint - positive or negative beliefs about money - ingrained in our subconscious minds, and it is this blueprint, more than anything, that will determine our financial lives. It is simply how we think, feel and act about money. Eker brings examples such as "money doesn’t grow on trees", "we can’t afford it", and when this is told to you over and over, then eventually this will sink in and become one of your own beliefs regarding money – your money blueprint. The job of your Subconscious mind is to protect you – to keep you safe. It is like your guardian angel. If you and your outer circumstances have programmed your subconscious mind to keep you poor, because you have been raised in faith that "money is not important" or that "rich people are not spiritual", then it will keep you poor in order to protect you. This is referred by Gary Craig as a "comfort zone" which forms a ceiling on your progress. Whenever we get into a situation that doesn't seem safe, the subconscious mind will disrupt the energy system and we will feel uncomfortable and we will experience it as an emotion. Your consciousness about abundance has a certain capacity; you will receive exactly what your consciousness is capable of handling. And according to Liza Jimenez your subconscious mind will start to sabotage you every time you try to make money and become rich. According to Harv Eker our physical material world is nothing more than printouts of our emotional, mental, and spiritual world. Our thoughts and words influence our environment as well as ourselves and create our reality. Thoughts lead to feelings, which lead to actions, which lead to results, and hence the key to attaining great wealth begins with thinking - like rich people do.

Eker argues that rich people believe that they create their life, while poor people believe that life happens to them. Rich people focus on opportunities, while poor people focus on obstacles.

Richard Wiseman says that lucky people generate their own good fortune via four basic principles. They are skilled at creating and noticing chance opportunities, make lucky decisions by listening to their intuition, create self-fulfilling prophesies via positive expectations, and adopt a resilient attitude that transforms bad luck into good. Personality tests revealed that unlucky people are generally much more tense and anxious than lucky people, and research has shown that anxiety disrupts people’s ability to notice the unexpected. He claims that unlucky people miss chance opportunities because they are too focused on looking for something else. They go to parties intent on finding their perfect partner and so miss opportunities to make good friends. They look through newspapers determined to find certain type of job advertisements and as a result miss other types of jobs. Lucky people are more relaxed and open, and therefore see what is there rather than just what they are looking for.

Eker provides the case of Donald Trump who lost everything as a good example here. David Letterman asked him in his show 1998 what he would do if he lost everything and had to start over from scratch. Without hesitating, Trump said he would find a good network marketing company and get to work. When the audience started to hoot and boo him, he looked out at the audience and said "That's why I'm sitting up here and you are all sitting out there!" Donald Trump is one of the richest men on the planet because he recognizes opportunities. And we do not have to talk only about millionaires, we may start from our own life, changing the way how we look at things and recognizing opportunities.

My story
Let me tell you a story from my own life. I was broke! My whole life was collapsed and I didn't know what to do. I prayed but didn't get any direct answer. Once I decided to throw out a sheet of paper with some notes about my research conducted years ago. Immediately I got a creative idea that I could write a project and apply for money. I did it; I got money for my project; I wrote my PhD thesis on this topic and got many awards afterwards. And it was just a lousy sheet of paper with some notes -- just one creative idea was needed to change my life. As Wayne Dyer states: “When your change the way you look at things, the things you look at change! I could look at the sheet of paper as a lousy useless piece of paper or as a new opportunity. However this piece of paper will be opportunity only when you take actions.

To be able to make money with this sheet of paper I had to write project and apply for money in the right place at the right time. Very often we have many excuses of not doing this and in this case this sheet of paper never becomes a new life opportunity. Eker presentsseveral excuses people with victim mentality love to use. For example, "I can't afford it", "no one will help me", "I'm not strong/smart enough", "I'm too old/too young". You can add your own excuses here! Devoting too much time and energy on what is not working or has not worked, instead of accentuating your assets and making things happen, is harvesting negativity. Negative thoughts and emotions beget destructive attitudes, thus what you reap is what you sow.  With negative emotional state you create more negative circumstances in your life. Eker claims that rich people act in spite of fear, while poor people let fear stop them. Rich people constantly learn and grow, while poor people think they know enough.

How to change your subconscious behavior
Thus, to get different results we have to change our subconscious behavior and belief system, which is according to Harv Eker our Money Blueprint.
